متن کاملReachability-based analysis for Probabilistic Roadmap planners
In the last fifteen years, sampling-based planners like the Probabilistic Roadmap Method (PRM) have proved to be successful in solving complex motion planning problems. While theoretically, the complexity of the motion planning problem is exponential in the number of degrees of freedom, sampling-based planners can successfully handle this curse of dimensionality in practice. We give a reachabil...
متن کاملComplete Contingency Planners
A framework is proposed for the investigation of planning systems that must deal with bounded uncertainty. A deenition of this new class of contingency planners is given. A general, complete contingency planning algorithm is described. The algorithm is suitable to many incomplete information games as well as planning situations where the initial state is only partially known. A rich domain is i...
متن کاملWhat Makes Planners Predictable?
In recent work we showed that models constructed from planner performance data over a large suite of benchmark problems are surprisingly accurate; 91-99% accuracy for success and 3-496 seconds RMSE for runtime. In this paper, we examine the underlying causes of these accurate models. We deconstruct the learned models to assess how the features, the planners, the search space topology and the am...
